South Korean game developer Nexon stated on Twitter that MapleStory Universe, the chain game version of MapleStory Universe, will still be an MMORPG game and will be an ecosystem based on NFT. Users can obtain NFT by playing the game. The NFT issuance is limited and can be purchased on Transactions between users.

Nexon said it will also launch an SDK that will allow developers to develop new games through a sandbox for scalability. Additionally, the game will issue blockchain-based tokens.
