All about the Bitcoin halving.

Bitcoin halving events are scheduled into the Bitcoin protocol and occur approximately every four years, or after 210,000 blocks have been mined. When a halving occurs, the reward for mining new blocks is halved.

November 28, 2012 – First Halving: This was the first halving event in Bitcoin history. Before the halving, the price of Bitcoin was relatively low, trading around $11. After the halving, the price gradually increased, reaching around $1,100 by the end of November 2013.

July 9, 2016 - Second Halving: Before this halving, the price of Bitcoin was around $650. After the halving, the price saw a slow and steady increase over the following months. However, the largest price surge occurred in late 2017 when Bitcoin reached its all-time high of nearly $20,000 in December 2017.

May 11, 2020 – Third Halving: Before the third halving, the price of Bitcoin fluctuated between $8,000 and $10,000. After the halving, Bitcoin had a relatively stable period initially, but later in 2020, it began a major bull run. In December 2020, Bitcoin surpassed its previous all-time high, reaching over $20,000 again.
