According to Odaily, Alex Thorn, the head of research at Galaxy Digital, has shared his thoughts on the recent transfer of 47,000 Bitcoins from Mt.Gox. He speculates that the transfer was made to a distribution agent and anticipates that there may be more transfers totaling up to 100,000 Bitcoins. Thorn maintains his belief that the coins from Gox will be held more than they will be sold.

He also shared his thoughts on why the tokens have not begun to be distributed. He believes the main reason is that the receiving address is a 34-character P2PKH, while he thinks a distribution agent would use a similar P2SH or a newer bech32 type of address. These addresses correspond to Bitcoin addresses starting with 1, 3, and bc1 respectively, with their introduction history from old to new.
