According to Foresight News, South Korean blockchain gaming platform WEMIX announced that it will enable the Brioche hard fork on July 1. The hard fork aims to implement the halving to introduce revised token minting rules, launch an enhanced version of WEMIX PLAY, and integrate blockchain technology into the "Legend of YMIR".

The changes in the token economic model brought about by the Brioche hard fork include: implementing halving to adjust the number of coins minted, destroying approximately 435 million WEMIX in the Foundation's reserves, and allocating ecosystem development funds, non-circulating WEMIX holdings, and development costs according to the circulation supply plan. The goal of the adjustment is to achieve a total supply of 588 million WEMIX by 2100, a 60% reduction from the current maximum supply of 980 million.
