According to Foresight News, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman recently told shareholders that it is considering changing its governance structure to a for-profit enterprise, which would cause OpenAI's non-profit board to lose control of the company. OpenAI said the change was due to insufficient "donations" needed to carry out the company's work and a new cash injection model was needed to incentivize stakeholders.
