According to Bloomberg, Gary Gensler, chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, said at a Senate Appropriations Subcommittee hearing on Thursday that "individual issuers are still in the smooth registration process." Gensler's remarks once again indicate that the launch of the much-anticipated Bitcoin ETF is underway. He also said that the final approval of the registration statements of a few issuers depends on the quality of disclosure to investors. This process is being carried out at the staff level. The agency approved the launch of the spot Bitcoin ETF in January. Gensler made the above statement in response to questions from senators.
