Galaxy Digital, which already provides loans through its trading and investment banking arm Galaxy Global Markets, is trying to attract a different customer base by tokenizing traditional assets such as stocks, bonds, and art, according to Bloomberg.

Thomas Cowan, vice president of tokenization at Galaxy, said that tokenizing physical assets such as art or musical instruments allows us to provide customers with more loans than more volatile assets such as Bitcoin or Ethereum. He also said that it might be a violin today, but it might be real estate tomorrow.
