According to Foresight News, SlowMist founder Yu Xian tweeted a reminder that for phishing attacks based on the first and last numbers, hackers are just casting a net to attack, and those who are willing to take the bait are playing a probability game. Prevention methods include but are not limited to: visually verifying whether the wallet address of the key steps is correct, and not just looking at the first and last numbers; ignoring the wallet history records, because historical records are easily polluted; transfer/transaction risk control, large transfers to the target address that appears for the first time or certain transaction operations (for example, the target address is an unfamiliar contract), the wallet will issue risk control reminders; whitelist address mechanism; wallet address profiling capabilities, etc.

Foresight News previously reported that a whale address was hit by a phishing attack with the same first and last numbers, resulting in a loss of 1,155 BTC (over 71 million US dollars). Subsequently, the phishing team sold all 1,155 WBTC in exchange for 22,960 ETH, which is currently stored in 10 wallet addresses.
