According to PANews, Gitcoin has announced the launch of its 20th grant program, Gitcoin Grants 20 (GG20), which will run until May 8. The grant event will take place on Arbitrum with the aim of further promoting the development of open-source software (OSS) and community projects through matched funding.

In GG20, Gitcoin has allocated a matching fund pool of $1 million for open-source software programs, covering four dedicated OSS rounds, including Hackathon Alumni, dApps & Apps, developer tools and libraries, and Web3 infrastructure. In addition, GG20 also includes five community rounds, with a total matching fund amount of $476,000, covering areas such as ENS, climate solutions, Open Civics, Hypercerts ecosystem, and Token Engineering Commons.

The grant event uses the Gitcoin Passport for witch attack protection, which is now automated and does not require users to collect stamps. The goal of GG20 is to accelerate the development of open-source software and community projects, as well as promote broader technological and social progress, through strategic fund allocation and support.
