According to Blockworks, Centrifuge recently raised $15 million to develop a universal physical asset platform. The round was co-led by ParaFi Capital and Greenfield, and follows Centrifuge's $7 million in strategic capital raised in 2022. Centrifuge tokenizes assets by creating NFTs embedded with detailed off-chain data links. This approach uses blockchain technology to ensure transparency and accessibility while protecting sensitive data off-chain. Centrifuge said the value of assets in its liquidity pool has reached $285 million, a figure that has grown rapidly from $80 million at the end of 2022. In addition, this week, tokenized real estate platform Homium raised $10 million in Series A financing to put home equity loans on the Avalanche blockchain. The round was led by Sorenson Impact Group, which is associated with the University of Utah, and Avalanche's "Blizzard" ecosystem fund.
