According to WuSay, Bloomberg ETF analyst James Seyffart shared his views on BTC ETFs and the zero liquidity issue. He pointed out that there are about 3,500 ETFs in the United States, of which 2,903 had zero liquidity yesterday. On any given day, most ETFs have zero liquidity numbers, which is normal. Each ETF can have creation units of different sizes, and for spot BTC ETFs, they are blocks of shares ranging from 5,000 to 50,000 shares. Creation or redemption will only occur when there is a large enough mismatch between supply and demand, and the cost of creating or redeeming the market is lower than simple hedging and traditional market making methods.
