According to Odaily Planet Daily, Starknet posted on the X platform that StarkWare has launched a new DAI contract and bridge on Starknet, which is part of StarkGate and is compatible with StarkGate 2.0 functions. Starknet recommends that users migrate the old version of DAI (DAI V0) to the new version of DAI. Users can migrate in the following two ways:
- Use the L2 exchange application or aggregator within the Starknet ecosystem to exchange "DAI V0" for DAI;
-Withdraw current DAI (DAI V0) to L1 via StarkGate, then re-deposit via StarkGate bridge. StarkGate will automatically issue a new version of DAI.
In January, MakerDAO published a post on the X platform stating that the native DAI on Starknet is not upgradeable, so this version of DAI will stop running after the future "Regenesis" network upgrade. The old version of DAI on Starknet will be replaced by the new version of DAI bridged by the Starknet standard Bridge. MakerDAO recommends that all DAI users on Starknet transfer or migrate DAI before Regenesis is deployed.
