On January 10, Nubit, a native technology project of the Bitcoin ecosystem, announced the first unified Bitcoin asset protocol called "Goldinals". It is reported that the concept of Goldinals was proposed by Domo, the founder of the first token of the Ordinals protocol ($ORDI) and BRC20, and the technology was implemented by the Nubit team. This protocol aims to introduce trustless asset management and programmability to the Bitcoin ecosystem, and solve the lack of interoperability between existing Bitcoin asset protocols (such as BRC-20, Runes, Ordinals, etc.), resulting in liquidity fragmentation and security risks. Goldinals provides a unified Bitcoin asset standard, achieves backward compatibility with existing protocols, and supports more efficient asset creation, management and interaction functions. It is an important step for the Bitcoin ecosystem to move towards the field of asset programming (BitVM).
