The Ethereum Layer 2 network Starknet announced on Wednesday the launch of the software tool SN Stack, allowing developers to leverage Starknet's zero-knowledge (ZK) technology to create their own application chains (Appchains), marking new progress in its ecosystem towards higher modularity.

Starknet points out that the SN Stack integrates several key technological components, such as the Starknet OS for blockchain operations, CairoVM for smart contract execution, Blockifier for block construction, as well as provers and verifiers.

The SN Stack is offered in three different versions to meet the diverse needs of developers. Madara provides a flexible and open-source modular framework, Dojo is a platform optimized specifically for games and advanced on-chain applications, while StarkWare Sequencer offers a complete Starknet infrastructure for decentralized applications (DApps) that require high performance.

Eli Ben-Sasson, co-founder and CEO of StarkWare, the core development team of Starknet, stated:

From now on, projects will be able to utilize the gold standard ZK-STARK cryptography to build application chains, a convenience and low cost that was previously only achievable by optimistic rollups.
