Citigroup analysts reported on Monday: "Ethereum is the only mainstream cryptocurrency approved for spot ETF trading, aside from Bitcoin, so it may become a target for capital rotation."

Currently, other cryptocurrencies are performing even more impressively, and their share of the total cryptocurrency market capitalization is also climbing.

Citigroup also mentioned that a recent survey showed respondents believe altcoins will perform exceptionally well in 2025.

Analysts pointed out: "The performance of other cryptocurrencies and altcoins is more worthy of attention, indicating that some market participants expect that after a strong year of Bitcoin growth, 2025 will usher in an 'altcoin season.'"

Experts also stated that the differing trends of Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies stem from the different fundamental factors affecting their markets.
