On January 6, the U.S. spot Bitcoin exchange-traded fund attracted nearly $1 billion, successfully pushing Bitcoin back up to the level of $102,000.
According to SoSoValue data, the inflow of 12 Bitcoin spot ETFs on Monday reached $987.06 million, marking the second consecutive day of inflows. Over these two days, the daily inflow amount for the ETFs exceeded $900 million, totaling nearly $1.89 billion.
The recent surge in inflows has nearly offset the subdued demand in the second half of December, during which the ETFs experienced a net outflow of about $1.9 billion from December 19 to January 2.
Meanwhile, the inflow of funds on Monday, January 6, was led by Fidelity's FBTC, which saw an inflow of $370.24 million, followed by BlackRock's IBIT and ARK 21Shares' ARKB, attracting $209.08 million and $152.92 million in investor funds, respectively.
Biwise's BITB and Grayscale's spot BTC ETF (ticker symbols GBTC and BTC) also contributed to this positive momentum, reaching $75.23 million, $73.79 million, and $71.19 million, respectively.
The positive inflows for VanEck's HODL, Franklin Templeton's EZBC, and Valkyrie's BRRR were more moderate, with inflows of $17.33 million, $8.88 million, and $8.38 million on the day. The other three BTC ETFs remained neutral.
On January 6, the total trading volume of these investment products reached $3.96 billion, significantly higher than the previous day's volume of $2.59 billion.
As strong inflows occurred on Monday, Bitcoin continued to rise, successfully breaking the $102,000 mark, which reignited enthusiasm and increased institutional interest in Bitcoin ETF products.
At the same time, last December was a standout month for the U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs, accumulating about 51,500 BTC, which is approximately 272% more than the 13,850 new coins in circulation that month. According to data from crypto.news, robust activity in the spot market drove Bitcoin to reach an all-time high of $108,135 on December 17.
As of the time of writing, Bitcoin's trading price over the past 24 hours was $101,674, up 2.2%.
