Michael Barr will resign from his position as the Chief Bank Supervisor of the Fed to avoid conflict with Trump.

Trump will have the opportunity to nominate a new head for the Fed's banking supervision agency.

Michael Barr will continue to serve as a member of the Fed's board of governors.
