Hedging, taking long as an example:

There is a principle when increasing or decreasing positions, which is to add first and then reduce (first increase long positions, then add short positions), not to reduce first and then add (which is prone to losing chips and unable to make a difference).

For example, last night I first increased my eth long position by 0.050, then near the new high, I locked in the added part of 0.050 (locking in the short position), which is equivalent to making a difference without losing chips (see Figure 3).
