Whales inflate a little bit... something like $3 to $5 dollars... then you get in, the price stays inert, 2 hours later, you look and you've already lost $1 to $3 dollars of each currency. You panic, thinking you're going to lose money and quickly sell because you think you made a bad choice.
Others like you do the same, slowly dropping the value of the currency.
The whales, the same ones that inflate the currency, start buying what you sold at a loss and others like you who did the same.
After a few hours, you look again and voila, it went up again. You sold, lost money and will probably buy more expensive than you paid for the first time...
So the big players, slowly, patiently and with composure, will gradually swallow all your money.
Few people here will tell you or show you how things work.
