I believe that whether altcoins can experience an explosion depends on whether they have accumulated enough liquidity. Although major institutions on Wall Street generally consider Bitcoin to be a scarce asset, their ultimate goal is still profit. Most market participants do not hold Bitcoin but instead invest in more volatile altcoins. Moreover, those who hold Bitcoin typically find it difficult to sell their holdings, making it harder to extract liquidity from the Bitcoin market; most of the capital harvesting comes from contract leverage trading. In contrast, the liquidity of altcoins is easier to extract and harvest, so altcoins remain the main target for market capital rotation.
