ChinaZ.com reported on December 20: Elon Musk recently shared a new experience on social media: playing the video game (Path of Exile 2: Ashen Arbitrator) through Starlink service while on a plane.
He expressed admiration for Starlink's capabilities, believing that its powerful network coverage could even support real-time video gaming on airplanes. This experience showcases Starlink's potential in providing high-speed internet service, maintaining connectivity even on moving planes.
A gaming enthusiast commented on this, imagining the scenario of playing games on Mars and noted that Starlink's connectivity can not only connect various corners of Earth but can even extend beyond it.
Musk responded to this comment, confirming that playing games on Mars is entirely possible, but due to the speed of light limitation and the changing distance between Mars and Earth, real-time gaming may not be achievable.
He explained that the communication delay between the two is about 4 to 20 minutes, making real-time gaming unrealistic.
