Odaily Planet Daily News: ARK Invest CEO Cathie Wood said on the CNBC Squawk Box program that the Ethereum network is faster and has lower (transaction) costs than the Bitcoin network, while the Solana network is even faster and more cost-effective than the Ethereum network. Earlier, ARK Invest CEO Cathie Wood said in an interview with CNBC that it was difficult to come up with a reasonable reason to explain his opposition to spot ETFs given that US SEC Chairman Gary Gensler knew a lot about Bitcoin. Before serving as SEC Chairman, he taught cryptocurrency and blockchain courses at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Cathie Wood then mentioned that people "speculated" that Gensler wanted to serve as US Treasury Secretary, and the Treasury Secretary needed to "pay a lot of attention to the US dollar," suggesting that Gary Gensler's ambition to become Treasury Secretary may be the real reason why Bitcoin spot ETFs were blocked. Cathie Wood also predicted that spot ETFs would eventually be approved, and said that the market value of cryptocurrencies would increase from the current $1 trillion to $25 trillion by 2030.
