Yuga Labs posted on Twitter, "Recently learned of a data breach at email platform Mailchimp, and our account was one of many compromised. We have only used the service a few times and for limited purposes, but wanted to share the following information out of an abundance of caution. What we have learned from Mailchimp: An unauthorized actor may have accessed data in our account. However, there is currently no evidence that any data was exported."
Yuga Labs said, "The data contained in our Mailchimp account is information from several email campaigns involving a limited number of people. Mailchimp is strictly used for email communications, not NFT minting. Next, we will continue to investigate the matter. If we believe that the user's data may have been affected by the Mailchimp vulnerability, we will contact the relevant users through the Yuga Labs email address."
As previously reported, the Solana Foundation stated in an email sent to users, "According to the information we received from Mailchimp, the affected information may include email addresses, names, and Telegram usernames, etc., in each case, limited to any such information provided by the user. Mailchimp stated that the incident did not affect passwords or credit card information." The number of users affected by this incident is still unknown.
Near sent a security reminder email to users. On January 12, a system vulnerability occurred in Mailchimp, one of Near's external email management tools, which may affect the security of Near's web wallet. (Planet Daily)
