Sky News reported on November 26 that the Guinness World Records announced the passing of the world's oldest man, John Tinniswood, at the age of 112. John Tinniswood was born on August 26, 1912, in Liverpool, England, the same year the Titanic sank. He was a lifelong fan of Liverpool Football Club, which was founded just 20 years before his birth. Guinness World Records stated that he passed away on Monday at a nursing home in Southport. His family said in a statement: "His last day was surrounded by music and love. John always liked to say thank you. So, on his behalf, I would like to thank everyone who cared for him over the years, including the staff at Hollis Nursing Home, his general practitioner, district nurses, occupational therapists, and other NHS staff."
