What does the integration of Aethir and LayerZero mean?
I previously conducted an in-depth study of the #Aethir project, summarizing its main application scenarios and development prospects across three tracks: AI training and inference, cloud gaming, virtual reality, and the Internet of Things.
At that time, the Aethir network had integrated over 1,000 top GPUs, NVIDIA H100 (to be precise, they are not traditional GPUs used for graphics processing, but professional AI accelerators). After six months, that number has risen to over 3,000. Additionally, the Aethir network infrastructure includes over 43,000 high-quality GPUs and 32,000 Aethir Edge cloud computing devices distributed globally.
The increase in GPUs and cloud computing hardware indicates an increase in Aethir's supply-side participation. This participation has grown by more than three times, reflecting the popularity of Aethir and ATH.
As an infrastructure for applications like AI and cloud gaming, Aethir is well-prepared on the supply side. From supply to demand explosion, a process is required, and Aethir is in this developmental phase.
About six months after launch, Aethir has already garnered a certain amount of demand. According to information released by Aethir, its users include dozens of major AI and gaming companies, such as gaming technology companies MetaGravit and Beamable, cloud gaming development company Return Entertainment, generative AI platform TensorOpera, Web3 game infrastructure and distribution platform GameSwift, and Web3 gaming and entertainment ecosystem XPLA.
Currently, these companies or projects using Aethir's infrastructure are either in the Web2 domain or have not yet become top projects.
In contrast, the significance of the integration with #LayerZero is much greater.
First, LayerZero is one of the mainstream projects in Web3, which can bring greater industry influence to Aethir.
Second, the token $ATH has various application scenarios within the Aethir ecosystem, including being used for staking, purchasing Aethir computing power, and rewarding Checker nodes, Aethir Edge device operators, ATH stakers, and cloud hosts.
After the integration with LayerZero, ATH will become a fully-chain homogeneous asset, no longer limited to a specific chain. ATH can be used across multiple chains to participate in the Aethir ecosystem without cross-chain operations. This interoperability provides convenience for Aethir's old users and existing ecosystem participants, while also facilitating the absorption of new participants from across the chain.
Third, LayerZero is cross-chain interoperability infrastructure, which can not only transfer assets across chains but also transmit broader messages and arbitrary data across chains. Full-chain dAPPs can be built based on LayerZero.
Full-chain dAPPs are similar to the previously mentioned 'using ATH across multiple chains to participate in the Aethir ecosystem.' Users can participate in full-chain dAPPs across multiple chains without cross-chain operations. This full-chain interoperability application can break down barriers between chains, allowing for more convenient and seamless participation in the full-chain ecosystem.
The explosion of full-chain dAPPs based on chain abstraction and interoperability technology is one of the future trends.
The integration with LayerZero allows Aethir to gain access to the cross-chain interoperability application market, such as full-chain AI applications or full-chain games...
In summary, through the integration, Aethir can gain more influence, asset interoperability, and a full-chain dAPPs application market.
LayerZero can also gain global distributed computing power, cloud servers, and edge computing services from the Aethir network, as well as participants from AI, cloud gaming, and physical infrastructure layers.
The benefits are mutual.
