A new category has recently appeared on Coinmarketcap: Political Memes. Political tokens created for the purpose of speculating on the popularity of prominent political figures.

Most of these coins have a rating below a thousand on Coinmarketcap and are traded mainly on DEX exchanges, but there are also coins with a high capitalization:

$PEOPLE - DAO whose goal was to buy the US Constitution at Sotheby's auction in 2021. I do not consider this token political, because the creators had a completely different goal. (I recently made a post about this coin, see below 👇 )

$TRUMP - a token that has a capitalization of $ 80 million and is traded on several large exchanges.

I want to note that the bulk of political tokens are dedicated to Trump, among them you can see Kamala Harris coins, but they have a very small capitalization and on average fell by 80% after the elections.

Joe Biden - $BODEN token, which is traded on Kraken

$PUT (PUTinCoin) - a fan coin dedicated to Russia, was created back in 2016!

$VANCE - James Vance, future Vice President of the United States
