Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin outlined the main goals of The Surge (the next phase in the series of network upgrades).
â These include increasing throughput to 100,000 transactions per second by leveraging the potential of Layer 2 protocols.
Additionally, there are plans to enhance the decentralization and resilience of the Layer 1 blockchain and to further develop the Ethereum ecosystem.
