Tesla transfers all $765 million in Bitcoin to an unknown wallet. Has Musk sold all of it?

Tesla first bought Bitcoin in February 2021, purchasing $1.5 billion worth of the cryptocurrency.  The following month, it sold 4,320 BTC, followed by 29,160 BTC in 2022.  That is, Tesla still holds 11,500 Bitcoins, which makes it the fourth-largest Bitcoin holder among listed companies, according to Bitcoin Treasury data, behind leading business intelligence company MicroStrategy and Bitcoin miners Marathon Digital and Riot Platforms.

And on the 15th. The crypto wallet marked as Tesla transferred almost all of the company's 11,500 Bitcoins. According to Arkham Intelligence, on October 15, the bank conducted 26 transactions, including test transfers. The first test transfer took place at 8:41 PM UTC on October 15, and the wallet currently holds only $6.68 worth of Bitcoin.

Prior to this sudden batch of transfers, Tesla's Bitcoin wallet had been idle since June 17, 2022.

It is foreseeable that details about Tesla's Bitcoin transfers (and whether it sold its Bitcoin holdings) may be disclosed when the company announces its third-quarter financial results after the market closes on October 23.
