According to TechFlow, on October 11, according to the official blog, the EcoDev research team of the Ethereum Foundation announced the launch of five six-month research scholarship positions, which are now open for application. The scholarship provides participants with the opportunity to deeply explore Ethereum application scenarios that have not yet been fully developed, and identify obstacles and drivers that may affect their development.

The scholarship focuses on research into broader, under-explored application areas rather than specific products or pre-commercial development. Proposals for incremental improvements to well-researched and funded areas such as automated market makers (AMMs), lending protocols, digital art, collectible intellectual property, prediction markets, domain names, etc. are not accepted.

Scholarship recipients will receive a monthly stipend to support their work, submit monthly progress reports, and submit a final report summarizing their findings at the end of six months. Scholarship recipients will also present their work to the EcoDev research team and have the opportunity to share insights at public events.
