PANews reported on October 10 that according to updated data on the official website of the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission, the virtual asset trading platform license application submitted by HKDAX to the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission was withdrawn on October 9.

Relevant information shows that the company name of the virtual asset trading platform operator submitted by HKDAX is "Hong Kong Digital Asset Xchange Limited". The Chinese name is not applicable. HKDAX first submitted an application for a virtual asset trading platform license to the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission on August 27, 2024.

As of now, the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission has announced that a total of 13 applicants have had their virtual asset trading platform licenses withdrawn and returned, of which 1 was returned; the number of applicants on the virtual asset trading platform application list is 15, of which 11 are considered as licensed virtual asset trading platform applicants and 3 are on the licensed virtual asset trading platform list.
