**Crypto Hacks Hit $120M in September, Marking Second-Lowest Losses of 2024**

September saw cumulative losses from cryptocurrency hacks hit $120 million, the second-lowest monthly figure in 2024 after April. Centralized exchanges remain frequent targets, with BingX and Indodax accounting for more than half of the losses.

- **Indodax**: $21 million lost

Decentralized entities were also affected:

- **Penpie**: $27 million lost

- **Delta Prime**: $6 million lost

- **Truflation**: $5.6 million lost

- **Bedrock**: $2 million lost

Some recovery efforts were successful. Shezmu recovered part of its $5 million loss, and Banana Gun refunded $3 million to affected traders.

In other news, WazirX, which suffered a massive $235 million hack in July, has yet to compensate users. Rival CoinSwitch is now suing WazirX to recover $6.2 million. Despite efforts, 43% of WazirX's customer funds are deemed irrevocably lost.
