**Blockchain Breakthrough: Boerse Stuttgart Group Completes Successful Test**

Boerse Stuttgart Group, Germany's second-largest exchange, has wrapped up a successful test of secondary market transactions using blockchain, in collaboration with the European Central Bank (ECB).

- The test marked the first settlement of exchange transactions with blockchain-based securities against central bank money.

- Linked to Deutsche Bundesbank's traditional euro payment system, the test involved six partner banks, including Commerzbank and Deutsche Bank.

- Transactions with five tokenized securities, such as bonds and shares, were completed in minutes, down from two days.

This pilot project explored blockchain's real-world market implications, demonstrating efficient, secure, and automated settlement processes. With DZ Bank now integrating Boerse Stuttgart's infrastructure, around 700 banks will soon offer digital asset services to retail customers.
