Mineração de Bitcoin , preços, brasileiro

Using a total power of 9.8 petahashes per second (PH/s), a Brazilian gained worldwide prominence in the Bitcoin community by breaking a solo block in just 25 days.

Typically, more than 99% of miners mine in a pool, break the block and divide the reward. In this case, the miner performed the process alone. In other words, the term pool is exactly that, it is a pool where several people come together. And with this aggregated power, it is possible to “break” or solve the equation of several blocks. This is common mining.

Brazilian performs rare feat by “breaking” Bitcoin block single-handedly

The Brazilian miner used Level Miner's infrastructure and support, which promises efficient, safe and, above all, clean energy operations. He needed 67 Bitmain Antminer S19K PRO 120Th and 5 Bitmain Antminer T21 190Th machines. These are mainly high-performance equipment that worked tirelessly to solve the complex calculations needed to validate transactions on the Bitcoin blockchain.

Solo Bitcoin mining is a rare and challenging endeavor, due to the increasing difficulty of the network and especially the high global competition. With the Bitcoin network currently operating at around 660 exahashes per second (EH/s), Level Miner’s miner, utilizing 9.8 PH/s, was competing with a tiny fraction – around 0.0015% of the total network power.

Still, the operation managed to break a block in just 25 days, earning a reward of 3,125 BTC, in addition to the associated transaction fees.

Challenges and potential of mining in Brazil

Despite the adverse conditions for mining in Brazil, such as relatively high energy costs compared to countries like Paraguay and the United States, Level Miner believes that the sector has potential for growth.

Bitcoin mining is an activity that consumes a lot of energy to operate, so Bitcoin miners always look for countries where energy is cheap and accessible. Brazil, despite not having such expensive energy, ends up falling behind other countries where the competitive advantage is greater, explains Level Miner ambassador Carlos Augusto.

Competitiveness in the mining sector is strongly linked to the cost of producing a Bitcoin. However, this reality is changing with technological advancement and access to new sources of energy production.

Mining company uses mini hydroelectric plant

With a 24×7 structure and technical support, the mining company uses a PCH, Small Hydroelectric Power Plant, to generate clean and more affordable energy. In practice, it works like a small hydroelectric plant, which uses the force of water to generate electricity between 5MW and 30MW.

For Augusto, this approach allows miners, both large and small, to succeed even in a competitive scenario.

Relevance and impact on the mining community

The event is relevant to the Bitcoin mining community for several reasons, explains the Level Miner ambassador.

1. Rarity of the feat: Mining a block solo with just 9.8 PH/s is extremely rare and is due to a combination of strategy, efficient planning, and luck. Many solo miners can operate for years without finding a single block.

2. Decentralization of the Bitcoin network: The achievement demonstrates the possibility of success for solo miners, highlighting the importance of maintaining the decentralization of the network, showing that it is possible for independent operators to validate blocks.

3. Inspiration for small miners: Breaking a solo block serves as motivation for small miners who believe in the possibility of competing outside of the large mining pools, showing that, although rare, success is possible.

4. Operational efficiency: The use of Bitmain Antminer S19K PRO and T21 machines enabled Level Miner's operation to achieve a balance between high hashing capacity and cost control, showing that strategic planning and choosing the right equipment are crucial for success in mining.

With this milestone, Level Miner demonstrates that, even in the face of challenges, solo mining can be a profitable and sustainable activity in Brazil, inspiring small and medium miners to explore this alternative and contributing to the decentralization of the Bitcoin network, concluded Carlos.
