[Ripple minted 99% of RLUSD tokens within 24 hours]
According to data from XRPL validator Vet, 99% of the RLUSD stablecoin supply is generated in a single day. A total of 800,000 RLUSD tokens were minted in the past 24 hours, suggesting that the project may be about to officially launch.
Ripple announced the launch of the RLUSD stablecoin in April this year and began beta testing in August. The stablecoin will be mainly used by enterprise partners. Ripple hopes to capitalize on growing demand for its stablecoin, which currently has a market capitalization of about $119 billion.
The XRP token has enjoyed a strong performance over the past 24 hours, with the market recognizing XRP’s growth despite the SEC’s expected appeal of the July 2023 ruling. The upcoming RLUSD stablecoin is also seen as another catalyst for XRP’s growth. Ripple President Monica Long revealed earlier that XRP is expected to be officially launched this year.
