Fortune reports that on Friday, Changpeng Zhao (CZ), founder of the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange Binance, will likely be released two days earlier than planned from a jail in Long Beach, California, as his release date falls on a weekend, after about four months in custody for violating the exchange's anti-money laundering regulations.

During his incarceration, Zhao spent about two months at a minimum-security prison in California, before being transferred to a detention facility that allowed him to participate in supervised activities, including watching movies.

Zhao will have plenty of new opportunities after his release, thanks to his estimated personal fortune of $60 billion, which makes him the 25th richest person in the world. While he has not announced specific plans, his first stop is likely to be Dubai or Paris, where his children live with Yi He, his ex-partner and Binance co-founder.

It is likely that after his release from prison, he will spend more time with his family, including his mother, sister and son – who have accompanied and supported him throughout the trial. The support from his family helped convince the judge to reduce his sentence.

Zhao’s future in the charity sector, however, remains unclear. Before his imprisonment, he launched the Giggle Academy, a project that provides free learning tools to children around the world. The project currently exists only as a website with no updated information, which is understandable given the difficult circumstances he has been through.

Along with his family and philanthropy, Zhao will also face challenges in the cryptocurrency industry where he once found great success. Under the terms of his plea agreement, he was forced to step down as CEO of Binance and is no longer involved in the company’s day-to-day operations. Binance, however, continues to operate aggressively, focusing on international markets. Zhao, while no longer CEO, remains the largest shareholder, with significant influence over the company’s future direction.

At 47 – an age when many executives are at the peak of their careers – Zhao still has plenty of room to grow and influence the cryptocurrency and business sectors in the years to come.
