HTC Exodus 1 has a separate Android partition to store bitcoin and ether, and costs the equivalent of R$ 3.500
โHTC has launched the Exodus 1, its first blockchain smartphone, for pre-order. It has a separate Android partition that stores your cryptocurrencies securely, with a mechanism to recover them in case of theft.
The Exodus 1 runs Android Oreo, and has a separate operating system partition to store your cryptocurrencies and tokens securely. This is the HTC Zion Wallet, a wallet that supports bitcoin, ether, litecoin and others. In addition, if the smartphone is stolen, there is a social recovery mechanism to recover your cryptocurrencies.
Here's how it works: HTC lets you choose a few trusted contacts, and each of them downloads a key management app. They'll receive parts of a code that, when put together, allow access to your wallet even without your phone.
The specs are those of a high-end model. The Exodus 1 has a Snapdragon 845 processor, 6 GB of DDR4x RAM, 128 GB of storage and a 3,500 mAh battery. The 6-inch screen has Quad HD+ resolution and an 18:9 aspect ratio.
The rear camera is dual, with 12 and 16 megapixel sensors; and the front camera is also dual, with two 8 MP sensors to blur the background. The body is translucent, showing the internal components, and has IP68 dust and water resistance.
The HTC Exodus 1 will be sold for 0.15 BTC or 4.78 ETH, around R$ 3.500 at the current exchange rate. It can only be purchased in these cryptocurrencies.
