HACKED is a new memecoin running on Solana, the crypto network behind the fifth-largest digital currency, SOL. Some of the accounts on X have already deleted their posts.

Hackers targeted several well-known X (formerly Twitter) users on Wednesday (18), apparently hijacking the accounts of brands and celebrities to publish posts promoting a dubious memecoin. However, the Solana token failed to gain much traction.

Brazilian footballer Neymar Jr, the Indian division of computer brand Lenovo, film director Oliver Stone and Yahoo News UK were just some of the prominent users who appeared to have been hacked to promote the scam, advertising a token with the symbol HACKED.

The coin appears to have generated just $$ 278K in trading volume, with a market cap of just $$ 5,700 at the time of writing, after the price dropped 96% in an hour. “Strong contender for most incompetent hacker of the yearâ€đŸ€ŁđŸ€ŁđŸ€Ł
