A man with a name and appearance similar to Daniel Fraga has rekindled the Brazilian bitcoin and libertarian community, which has been trying for years to find out if the former YouTuber is doing well after his disappearance.

Images of a man named Bernard Fraga on a LinkedIn profile pointed to a possible return of Daniel Fraga in 2024, the first YouTuber to publicly mention bitcoin in Brazil. The whereabouts of the former YouTuber, if his identity is confirmed, would be Switzerland.
Libertarian and Bitcoin advocate Daniel Fraga disappeared in 2016 and never gave any news to his thousands of followers again. Many are still trying to find his whereabouts in search of information, since Fraga disappeared after problems with the Brazilian justice system.
Although the new information went viral with photos of a man who appears to be Daniel Fraga, it has not yet been possible to confirm whether it is actually the Brazilian YouTuber.
Is Daniel Fraga back?
A frequent target of popular imagination, Daniel Fraga is what can be called a mythical figure on the Brazilian internet. Thus, since his public disappearance, many people have created stories and imagined how he lived his life.
This is because Daniel spoke about Bitcoin in Brazil when few people knew about the topic. In addition, he bought everything he could in bitcoin before disappearing, after being the target of a lawsuit filed by a then congresswoman, after the YouTuber criticized her.
In other words, many imagine that he could be very rich and living his life peacefully in some country off the radar.
Now in 2024, a LinkedIn profile from Switzerland appeared, of a senior technology developer, named Bernard Fraga. Upon seeing the photo, the Brazilian community claims that they asked him if he was Daniel Fraga, when “Bernard” decided to delete his profile in less than 24 hours.

Before deleting the photo, however, someone managed to link the profile of the alleged Daniel Fraga with photos of a KPMG AG in Switzerland. The photos were uploaded to Google Maps by a user named Fraga22, in the year 2022.
Although the rumors are strong within the community, it is not entirely clear whether it was the same person sought by Brazilians. In any case, according to Livecoins, it is clear that there is no active profile on LinkedIn with the name Bernard Fraga.

Was it really Daniel Fraga?
Daniel Fraga was a YouTuber with a great deal of knowledge about Bitcoin and technology. As such, he has worked very well to hide his identity and whereabouts on the internet over the past few years, similar to Satoshi Nakamoto, the inventor of Bitcoin.
In other words, if he decided to return to the internet now in a public way, it is possible that Daniel would not use his surname Fraga, nor his photo, at least not without filters.
Furthermore, the photo of Bernard Fraga is circulating in groups on the internet, but the report was unable to verify its origin. Since it is easy to modify photos with artificial intelligence, this could be a point against Daniel Fraga's return, since a photo these days does not prove many things.
Even so, the YouTuber's fans enjoyed seeing the news, starting to imagine Fraga's life as a bitcoin millionaire in Switzerland.
As supporter Fraga took photos in the European country in 2022, there is also nothing to indicate that he possibly remains there or works for a company in the country, which is yet another part of the rumor.
Whether Daniel Fraga really returned or if it was someone's joke is still unclear, but the community continues to remember his achievements and pro-bitcoin fight.
