Trump and Musk fail to deliver: Crypto investors upset

The crypto community was left disappointed as more than a million people tuned in to Donald Trump’s conversation with #ElonMusk on Twitter on Monday.

As more than a million people tuned in to Donald Trump’s conversation with Elon Musk on Twitter on Monday, the crypto community was left disappointed.

The two discussed topics such as securing the US southern border, Russia’s 2022 invasion of Ukraine, immigration and Vice President Kamala Harris, but the former president didn’t say a word about crypto assets. The audience didn’t hear Trump mention the words “Tesla” or “Bitcoin.”

The developments come after Trump spoke positively at a recent #Bitcoin conference, as he hopes to give the White House another shot in November.

The former president appealed to crypto owners on the campaign trail and accepted crypto donations in May after signaling that the industry was “okay” at a Mar-a-Lago event for owners of his Polygon-based NFT collection. #Trump also supported Bitcoin miners in June.

While listeners were disappointed, many more complained about technical issues that prevented them from accessing the interview, which was recorded on the platform’s live recording feature, Spaces.
