According to Odaily Planet Daily, Australian financial educator Scott Pape publicly talked about how to fight against cryptocurrency scammers who stole his identity to defraud fans. He and his team reported hundreds of fake Facebook groups.

Rather than wait for Facebook to remove the groups, Pape chose to engage with the scammers and expose their operations, noting that many U.S. regulators have warned against fake “wealth institutes” offering cryptocurrency trading courses via WhatsApp.

In these scams, a "professor" provides fake trading signals, assistants communicate with investors, and after raising funds, the gang disappears and targets new victims.
