According to Odaily Planet Daily, Intel announced that CEO Patrick Gelsinger will retire on December 1, 2024 and step down from the board of directors.
Intel named David Zinsner and Michelle Johnston-Holhouse as interim co-CEOs while the board searches for a new CEO.
Frank Yary, the independent chairman of the board of directors, will serve as interim executive chairman during the transition period, and the leadership structure of Intel Foundry will remain unchanged. The board of directors has established a committee to search for Gelsinger's successor.
