ChainCatcher news, according to CoinDesk, the French Market Authority (AMF) said that the agency began accepting applications for crypto asset service providers (CASP) licenses on July 1. This is the first major economy in the EU to open applications, as most of the provisions of the EU Crypto Asset Market (MiCA) rules will take effect at the end of this year. Crypto companies need to obtain a license under the system before July 2026 to continue to provide services in the EU. The AMF has always welcomed cryptocurrency companies in the past, and 74 companies had registered under its system in May last year.
