The University of Wyoming will launch the University of Wyoming Bitcoin Research Institute in August, aiming to provide "high-quality peer-reviewed" Bitcoin research. Bitcoin activist and University of Wyoming associate professor Bradley Rettler announced the establishment of the institute on Twitter and served as the director of the institute. The Bitcoin Research Institute is classified as a non-profit organization and accepts Bitcoin donations to support research. Rettler said that 4% of the investment will be allocated to Bitcoin and will not be sold if Bitcoin donations are received. (Cointelegraph)
