8. Fake wallet
The URLs are very similar, the logos are very similar, and the names are very similar.
But they are still selling dog meat with sheep’s heads, and the fake ones will always be fake. Even if you put money in, you can’t get out.
The way to prevent it is very simple. Look for the genuine wallet URL and do not download wallets from other websites.
9. Airdrop trap
One day, you inexplicably find that your wallet account (which used to be an ERC20 decentralized wallet) has one or several unknown currencies added to it. There are a lot of them, and they look very valuable.
Some friends tell you to try searching for an unknown token in your wallet, and you magically find that a huge sum of money of this currency is in your wallet...
You're in for a surprise. You've received numerous airdrops before, and maybe one of them gave you a red envelope.
But when I opened the centralized exchange, I found that the currency could not be traded. Finally, I went to the official website and found that it was only available for trading here.
So, after authorizing the transaction, I found that all the coins in my wallet had been stolen when I was about to make a transaction.
The way to prevent it is also very simple. Don’t grant permissions to your wallet easily.
10. Someone exposed his private key.
One day, you find a person in a comment saying: I don’t want to play anymore, this market is too tiring. Give the remaining 100U to someone who is destined, and then paste your private key. You take it to import and find that it is indeed true, but the transfer cannot be done because there is no handling fee.
After you poured some ETH into it and just wanted to transfer it, you found that someone was one step ahead of you and transferred the ETH you recharged.
11. Partial DEFI mining
① Some pool codes have backdoors reserved for the purpose of defrauding money. You covet its yield, and it targets your principal.
② There are also cases where code auditing is not strict, and hackers have discovered loopholes and stolen all assets.
Convention, to summarize:
①Not original. Most of the content is derived from a personal Weibo collection, incorporating some personal and friends' experiences as cases.
② The currency circle is not regulated, and scams are really hard to guard against. Hey, the people who are deceived look quite stupid and really pitiful. But in the final analysis, it is caused by taking advantage of others and trusting others. We should not take all "personality/authority", "teacher/great god" and "pie in the sky" lightly.
