According to Foresight News, the modular blockchain project Avail announced the establishment of a foundation in Switzerland and will gradually transfer all IPs related to the Avail protocol (including Avail DA, Avail Nexus, Avail Fusion, etc.) to the Avail Foundation. The Avail Foundation initially focused on fostering and developing the ecosystem around the Avail protocol. Major initiatives include funding, development and research, as well as education, adoption and community engagement, aiming to help Avail become a leader in blockchain scalability and interoperability while ensuring that everyone can enjoy the benefits of the ecosystem.

The initial foundation board includes Avail co-founders Anurag Arjun and Prabal Banerjee, Andreas Traum, partner at PwC Germany’s Financial Services Advisory, and Richard Harker, head of client services at Centralis Group.
