The report pointed out that Africa received $34.7 million in investment in the first half of 2024, a year-on-year decrease of 74% compared with $135.4 million in 2023. Although the financing amount is sluggish, the report said that the number of transactions in the region increased by 9%. Overall, global blockchain financing has also seen a sharp decline. The report said that the field received $10.66 billion in financing in the first half of 2023, but only $5.74 billion in the same period of 2024, a year-on-year decrease of 64%.
