📉 The United States has stopped a three-year investigation into Hiro Systems, the developer of the second level of the Bitcoin blockchain, Stacks. The company, formerly known as Blockstack, raised $70 million from token sales from 2017 to 2019. In 2021, Hiro stated that the Stacks blockchain had become so decentralized that the company no longer qualified as a securities issuer. This is the second crypto investigation that the US regulator has closed this week. However, the SEC continues to pursue Ripple, Binance, Kraken and Coinbase.
