The developers of the clicker Hamster Kombat, in an interview with The Block, talked about the genesis of the game and announced the second airdrop.

The founders of the project preferred to remain anonymous, but stated that they have experience in developing games and blockchain. According to them, they have been in the crypto industry since 2013.

When creating a gaming Telegram application, the team focused on Notcoin. Other sources of inspiration they cited were the meme cult of the GameStop and Reddit stories, when retail investors demonstrated their strength to Wall Street.

“We were inspired by the success of Notcoin and the popularity of gaming on social networks in the 2010s. So we took the best from everyone and added our philosophy of unity and lots of educational content,” the developers said.

In Hamster Kombat, players in the role of the CEO of a crypto exchange accumulate in-game coins by clicking on the screen as they develop their virtual business.

Notcoin used a similar gameplay, but the creator of the project, Alexander Plotvinov, has already announced his abandonment of the clicker idea. He expressed doubt about the durability of the “slippers” due to the instability of the model. As part of the transformation, the Notcoin team, in partnership with 1inch and Sign, plan to launch a startup accelerator for the Telegram ecosystem and the TON blockchain.

The founders of Hamster Kombat were optimistic about the game's prospects after the first airdrop, which is scheduled for the end of July. They reported that they are already planning a second distribution of the gaming asset.

“We believe that a token that will be owned by millions of users around the world has enormous value in itself,” the developers say.

They also said they intend to combat bots, referral fraud, and gameplay manipulation such as using multiple devices.

According to the project, its user base exceeds 250 million accounts.

“We are an educational and entertainment project aimed at mass implementation. Our mission is to reach one billion people around the world who will become part of the ecosystem and learn blockchain and Web3. We also care about financial literacy and universal basic income,” said the creators of Hamster Kombat.

Let us remind you that the game was supported by Telegram founder Pavel Durov, who announced the release of its HMSTR token on the TON blockchain. The Bybit exchange has opened a premarket for the coin.#binance #Bitcoin
