According to PANews, OpenAI has developed a five-level classification system to track the progress of its artificial intelligence (AI) software that surpasses human capabilities. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman anticipates the realization of general artificial intelligence (AGI) within this decade. Currently, OpenAI is at the first level, capable of conversational AI, and is nearing the second level, 'Reasoners', which possess the basic problem-solving ability of a human PhD level. The third level is known as 'Agents', referring to AI systems that can execute multi-day tasks under user instructions. The fourth level is AI capable of proposing new innovations, while the highest fifth level, 'Organizations', refers to AI systems capable of performing organizational tasks.

OpenAI plans to share this classification system with investors and the public to help them better understand its thoughts on AI safety and the future. This classification system was developed by OpenAI executives and senior leadership team, and will collect feedback from employees, investors, and the board of directors, and may be adjusted over time.
