According to TechFlow, The Block reported that Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin said in a keynote speech at the ETHCC in Brussels that in the case of a 51% attack on the Ethereum network, malicious actors may generate more Ethereum blocks than honest actors, which may lead to network censorship. He emphasized that Ethereum needs to develop an automated response plan so that when transactions or validators are detected to be censored, honest nodes can automatically anti-censor the majority chain and coordinate to run on the same minority chain.

In addition, Vitalik also advocates for increased adoption of light clients in the Ethereum infrastructure layer, especially in wallets. These light clients should also support zk-EVM verification, providing further support for layer 2 networks. He believes that the protocol should be further simplified to make life easier for developers and users.
